Sai S-8

The Sai S-8 is a 40-ton fighter flown as a fast dogfighter, rebuilt around an XL engine in place of the S-3's fusion plant. The single Large Laser in the nose gives way to a pair of Light PPCs, and the Medium Lasers in each wing become ER Medium Lasers, two to a wing. Ferro-aluminum armor replaces the standard plate, and sixteen double heat sinks cool the design in place of the S-3's fourteen single sinks. Wakazashi Enterprises builds it at Schuyler.
