Rook NH-2

The Rook NH-2 is a 55-ton skirmisher, reworking the 3074 NH-1A juggernaut into a lighter-footed brawler for 3076. A 220 fusion engine replaces the NH-1A's 200, pushing cruising speed from 32 to 43 km/h and top speed from 54 to 65 km/h, while jump range rises from 90 to 180 metres. Standard armor plating replaces the original's primitive protection, and the heat-sink fit switches from 14 single sinks to 12 double sinks. Where the NH-1A carried six medium lasers, including a pair of rear-facing torso mounts, the NH-2 drops the rear-facing weapons and fields four medium lasers in the left arm, right arm, left torso, and right torso, alongside an ER PPC in the right torso in place of the standard PPC and a small pulse laser in the head replacing the small laser. The frame keeps its rugged, field-serviceable construction, and New Hessen WorkMechs builds it at New Hessen.
