Orion IIC (Burton)

The 'Burton' reworks the 2841 Orion IIC around missile flexibility and self-defense, cruising at the same 43 km/h and topping out near 65, with a jump capability of 120 metres the original lacked. In place of the LRM 20 the left arm carries a Streak LRM 15, and the SRM 4 in the left torso gives way to an ATM 3; the right torso's Gauss Rifle is replaced by a HAG/20. Both ER Large Lasers carry over from the original, one in each arm. A light active probe sits in the left torso and a Laser AMS in the head, and a lighter XL engine and three additional double heat sinks account for the added systems. The design keeps its anti-aircraft fire control and its rugged, field-serviceable frame.
