The Nobori-nin (Huntsman) A is a 50-ton medium that fights at long range, cruising at 54 km/h and topping out at 86, with a 150-metre jump capability. Where the Prime configuration mounts a Streak SRM 6 and paired ER medium lasers in each arm alongside an Ultra AC/2, this configuration strips those away for a Large Pulse Laser and an LRM 10 in the left arm and a Large Pulse Laser and an LB 2-X AC in the right arm. It carries none of the Prime's Artemis IV fire-control system, active probe, anti-missile system, TAG, or anti-personnel pods, and its 12 double heat sinks outnumber the Prime's 10. Both configurations share the same 250 XL fusion engine, endo steel structure, and ferro-fibrous armor, and the type holds the same stable firing platform. Avon Alpha builds it at Avon, with production also carried out at Brim, Irece, and Asellus Australis.
