The Kestrel VTOL (ML) is a 25-ton VTOL combat vehicle built for the scout role, cruising at 130 km/h with a top speed near 194. Where the Kestrel VTOL (Clan) mounts a pair of machine guns in the front, this field refit carries a single Medium Laser in the front instead. The 4-ton infantry compartment of the original is gone, and the ferro-fibrous plate gives way to standard armor. Built from Inner Sphere components rather than Clan technology, it is assembled as a field refit at various sites rather than at a single factory.
