Daimyo DMO-1K2 (al-Shahab)

The DMO-1K2 (Al-Shahab) is a 40-ton brawler, a 3066 field refit of the 3053 Daimyo DMO-1K. In place of the ER PPC it carries a Heavy PPC in the left arm, backed by a PPC capacitor, and where the base model mounts twin medium lasers it fields a pair of small X-Pulse lasers, both in the right arm; the SRM 6 in the right torso is absent from this configuration. A supercharger in the left torso pushes the sprint speed to 108 km/h with the unit engaged, well above the DMO-1K's 86 km/h top speed, and a light fusion engine replaces the standard fusion plant while holding cruising speed at 54 km/h. The heat-sink count rises from 11 to 13 double sinks, and the type keeps its low, hard-to-target silhouette and its reputation as a maintenance-intensive design. It is assembled as a field refit at various sites rather than a dedicated factory.
