Cronus CNS-5M

The CNS-5M is a 55-ton skirmisher, a 3060 rebuild of the 3031 CNS-3M around extended-range weaponry and a lighter frame. The Large Laser in the right arm gives way to an ER PPC, and the twin Medium Lasers in the right torso are replaced by ER Medium Lasers, with an ER Small Laser now in the left torso. The Streak SRM 4 in the center torso supplants the SRM 4, and a C3 slave unit sits alongside it. A 330 XL fusion engine and endo steel structure raise cruising speed from 54 to 65 km/h and top speed from 86 to 97 km/h, while CASE now lines the left torso and the heat-sink count shifts from 14 single to 14 double. The type retains its recognition as an easily-serviced design. Gilmour Miltech builds it at Talitha.
