Barghest BGS-4X

The BGS-4X is a 70-ton sniper, a 3078 rework of the 3058 BGS-1T that trades reach efficiency for raw punch. Where the BGS-1T carried twin ER Large Lasers and an LB 20-X AC, this variant fields a pair of Light PPCs in the left torso, mounted on a quad turret and fed by a PPC capacitor, alongside an Improved Heavy Gauss Rifle in the right torso in place of the autocannon. The 350 XL fusion engine gives way to a lighter 280 fusion engine on a frame rebuilt with endo steel structure, dropping cruising speed from 54 to 43 km/h and top speed from 86 to 65 km/h. CASE II protects the right torso and a C3 slave unit sits in the head, neither present on the BGS-1T. It is refit at the TharHes Industries R&D Annex at Gibbs.
