Aquagladius AQS-5 MAM

The Aquagladius AQS-5 MAM is a 50-ton skirmisher, cruising at 65 km/h and topping out near 97, with a boosted cruising speed of 86 km/h under combat heat thanks to its Triple-Strength myomer. Where the 3065 AQS-3 fought with a BattleMech Taser in the left arm and a flail in the right, this 3090 rebuild strips out the melee arsenal entirely: a Heavy PPC fitted with a PPC capacitor now sits in the left arm, and the right arm carries twin Small VSP Lasers alongside a pair of ER Flamers. A 300 XXL fusion engine and composite internal structure replace the light fusion engine and endo steel of the original, and patchwork armor stands in for the light ferro-fibrous plating. Underwater maneuvering units fill the left torso, right torso, left leg, and right leg, and a MechWarrior aquatic survival system is built into the head. It remains a maintenance-intensive design, built by Vining Engineering and Salvage Teams at Solaris VII.
