Recognition notes
The VND-1R (Vong) is a 45-ton brawler that closes to short range on its 180 fusion engine, cruising at 43 km/h and topping out at 65, with a single jump of 120 metres. Its arms carry a medium laser and a small laser in the left and a PPC in the right, backed by an LRM 5 in the left torso for reaching out before the fists close. Sixteen single heat sinks and standard armor round out the frame, which is built rugged and field-serviceable for hard use away from proper repair yards. Ceres Metals Industries builds it, with production also running at St. Ives and Tikonov.
