Rakshasa MDG-2A

The Rakshasa MDG-2A is a 75-ton skirmisher, a 3064 rework of the 3055 MDG-1A that trades its energy-and-missile mix for a shorter-ranged, close-quarters battery. In place of the twin ER large lasers and medium lasers in each arm, the left arm now carries a Rotary AC/5 and the right arm a Large Pulse Laser with two Medium Pulse Lasers. The paired LRM 10 racks and their Artemis IV fire-control systems in the torsos are gone, replaced by a pair of Medium Pulse Lasers in the right torso alone. Cruising speed holds at 54 km/h with a top speed of 86, and the ferro-fibrous armor and endo steel structure carry over unchanged. The design remains easily serviced, and the head remains a notably fragile point on the silhouette. General Motors builds the MDG-2A at Kathil.
