Oni ON-2X

The Oni ON-2X is a 55-ton fighter flown as a fast dogfighter, built around an XL engine in place of the ON-1's fusion plant. The nose keeps the MRM 30 from the ON-1 but adds a Binary Laser (Blazer) Cannon and a Laser Anti-Missile System, with an MRM Apollo FCS tied into the nose mount. In place of the ON-1's paired ER large lasers in the wings, the ON-2X carries an ER medium laser in the right wing and another in the left wing. A medium pulse laser and a rear-mounted Angel ECM suite sit in the aft, a position the ON-1 left empty. Armor changes from ferro-aluminum to vehicular stealth plate, and heat sink count rises from 13 to 15 double heat sinks. Wakazashi Enterprises builds the type at Chatham.
