Recognition Notes
The CLS-5S rebuilds the Colossus around long-range fire support, where the 3053-vintage CL-P3 fought as a close-in juggernaut. In place of each arm's Large Pulse Laser it mounts a PPC, backed by an ER Medium Laser where the Medium Pulse Laser sat, and a Gauss Rifle in the left torso replaces the AC/20 that filled the center torso. Each arm's PPC feeds off a PPC capacitor, and CASE now protects the left torso rather than the right. Coolant pods remain in both torsos, and the type still stands as a stable firing platform. Omnitech Industries builds it on Solaris VII.
