Cephalus B

The Cephalus B is a 25-ton scout that trades the Prime configuration's anti-missile defense for an electronic strike capability. Where the Prime mounts a pair of Laser AMS units in the side torsos, this configuration carries a single BattleMech Taser in the left torso, and its Light TAG shifts from the left torso to the right. It also does without the modular armor plating fitted to the Prime's torsos, though the null-signature system and Chameleon light polarization shield remain in the arms, torsos, and legs alongside the Nova combined electronic-warfare system in the head. Cruising at 108 km/h and topping out near 162 on its Clan XXL fusion engine, it retains the Prime's armless silhouette and its reputation as a maintenance-heavy machine to field. Kerensky Memorial Manufacturing builds it at Strana Mechty.
