Anvil ANV-8M

The Anvil ANV-8M is a 60-ton missile boat that fights at long range, a 3060 rebuild of the 3055 ANV-3M's skirmisher configuration. Where the ANV-3M carries a Large Pulse Laser in each torso, the ANV-8M drops both for an ER Large Laser and an ER Medium Laser together in the left arm, and swaps the right torso's Large Pulse Laser for an Arrow IV. The center torso's Medium Laser is gone, and the head-mounted laser is upgraded to an ER Medium Laser. A smaller 240 fusion engine replaces the 300, cutting cruising speed from 54 to 43 km/h and top speed from 86 to 65, though MASC in the left torso lets it sprint to 86 km/h; CASE sits alongside it in that torso, and the Guardian ECM suite moves from the right torso to the center torso. The refit is handled by Gibson Federated BattleMechs at its Gibson works.
